Gotive H42 is a technology-packed yet easy-to-operate rugged handheld communicator,
designed for use in a wide range of mobile enterprise applications. With its extensive range
of embedded options in a single unit, rugged ergonomic design and an outstanding system

Communicate

Gotive H42 combines in a single unit a desired selection from a wide choice of
wireless communication options to enable instant data exchange and to secure
data accuracy - voice/text communication over GSM network; anywhere GPRS
for data access and exchange outside of the company; WLAN 802.11b/g for local
area networks; as well as Bluetooth and IrDA for communication with peripherals
and other devices in the personal area. This unique communication versatility in
a single handheld unit displaces a number of individual hardware to carry around,
enhances productivity, and develops customer satisfaction and loyalty by providing
up-to-date information and flexible service.


Capture

Integrated automatic data capture options help the mobile user to collect even
complex information with ease and accuracy, while minimizing the risk of input error.
Variety of available technologies - bar code scanner, smart card read/write module,
and capture of digital signature or fingerprint - guarantees a solution for any project
needs. Additionally, the large screen of the communicator allows manual entering and modification of data by fingers anytime.






Navigate

GPS module built into the Gotive H42 communicator* or into its docking station
localises and tracks vehicle or the mobile worker in the field, navigates the driver,
identifies the points of activity, enables to secure online proof of delivery (POD,
supported by on-screen signature capture), and enables the exploitation of the
location based services.

Large easy-to-read HVGA colour display is easy readable and finger operable and provides abundance
of space for displaying large quantity of data, big icon controls, navigation map or full QWERTY virtual keyboard.

Superior power management

Dual battery system, power saving processor and sophisticated power management (part of the Gotive H42 SDK) along with multitude of docking and charging accessories ensure maximum operating time, fast charging, as well as reliable back-up of data and applications anywhere and in any situation.

Many tools to develop applications

Gotive H42 SDK, more than 500 API functions fully compatible with Microsoft SDK for WIN CE, and
third party GSM/GPRS and GPS * SDKs give developers tools to easily build applications and implement
them into corporate IT solutions. Application development over Microsoft Windows CE operating system
as an industry standard provides proof of future continuity, support and compatibility.

Extensive memory capacity

Gotive H42 offers an outstanding memory capacity of 128 MB RAM and 256 MB ROM (optionally
extendable up to 1 GB), additional memory expansion is possible via high-speed Secure Digital (SD)
or SIM/SAM cards.

Full-featured wired connectivity

Comprehensive set of SmartCaps and other accessories for H42 maximises the wired connectivity
with external devices indoor and on the go. Choice of Audio, RS232, as well as unique USB-A SmartCap options enables to read and transfer data at any point of activity. The same communication options with additional USB-B are available via the docking stations.
