The robust, secure, intelligent Gotive docking station for the Wireless Enterprise Communicator (WEC) H41 is also available with an optional built-in GPS module, accompanied by an external GPS antenna. This DS configuration is especially valuable to those customers who find it important to determine or monitor the position of the vehicle at any given moment, without the necessity of the WEC being docked in the DS. In this case, the acquired data can be stored in the internal memory of the DS, and be later viewed via docked WEC or PC connected via RS 232 or USB.

This feature can serve to monitor the vehicle in daily use, even without the WEC docked in DS, or to help in unwanted situations, like loss or theft of the car. Additionally, GPS module can be a part of both the communicator and the docking station in order to provide simultaneous, but independent data about the position and movement of the vehicle and WEC.
