| The company Gotive Inc. is for
a second time exhibiting at CeBIT trade fair, that takes place in
Hannover, Germany from March 12 – 19, 2003, in order to present
its innovative visions and devices for wireless enterprise mobile
solutions.
About Company
Gotive Inc. (www.gotive.com) develops, markets and sells highly
innovative wireless enterprise communicators, or WECs. WECs are
designed for use in any application in which mobile users need to
collect, manage and transfer data remotely from the users’
fixed-line place of work. The proliferation of mobile voice and
data networks forms a platform on which handheld hardware can run
to fulfil varied requirements of such vertical markets as remote
logistics, transportation, field services, utilities, retail on
the move, public safety, forestry, defence and others. Gotive supplies
customers with excellent "fit-for-purpose" products featuring
state-of-the-art design, product customisation, high-quality manufacturing
and fast logistics. Its operations base in Central Europe (Bratislava
and Vienna) offers customers many advantages, including accessibility
and price competitiveness as well as a comprehensive understanding
of market needs.
About Products
The first product from its product range, Gotive WEC H41, combines
the functions of a handheld computer, a mobile phone, a localization/navigation
device (thanks to its ability to receive GPS signals) and a barcode
reader in a single mobile handset. The open architecture of Gotive
products additionally enables them to accommodate optional smart
card and/or magnetic strip readers, a printer and a camera –
depending on the specific market’s needs. Gotive H41 has been
developed for users for whom finger rather than stylus operation
is more appropriate for a mobile device. Finger operable QWERTY
touch screen keyboard and programmable Action Keys deliver true
"anywhere" usability and one hand operation. Gotive H41
is sealed for protection against windblown rain and dust (IP 54
Standard compliant), and is able to withstand multiple drops on
a hard surface. Gotive H41 is built upon Windows CE.NET operating
system.
Customisation
Gotive offers an innovative ergonomic design, which represents a
synergic solution of specific human factors coming into play within
customer's mobile enterprise solution and the requirements on product's
functionality. Gotive designs the products to maximize usability
and minimize strain on mobile workers.
Every Gotive product is open for customisation. It allows the user
to choose the right configuration – to lower the cost by removing
features, or to add more value by means of extras. Customisation
may require development of a specific product, or maybe just adding
a logo (branding) or changing the colour of the case. The case colour
is fully customisable according to the colour scheme required by
the customer.
