| On March
17, 2003 during the keynote speech delivered by
Keith White, senior director
of Embedded & Appliance Platforms Group (EAPG) at Microsoft
Corp., to open the Microsoft Embedded DevCon in Munich, the Gotive
H41 Wireless Enterprise Communicator (WEC) and three other selected
devices running on the Microsoft Windows CE .NET embedded operating
system were presented.
The device demonstration was performed by Aubrey
Edwards, director of EAPG at Microsoft, in front
of an audience of Windows CE .NET and Windows XP Embedded experts,
including software developers, hardware designers and engineers,
Microsoft representatives and industry partners, and technical press
people from all around the world (watch

“Gotive is creating highly
innovative wireless devices that help collect and manage information
for the enterprise market,” said Aubrey Edwards,
director of the Embedded and Appliance Platforms Group at Microsoft
Corp. “Gotive’s WEC, coupled
with Windows CE .NET, enables the newest technologies for wireless
communications, computing and automatic data capture for next-generation
connected devices for use in field services, logistics and transportation
or retail environments.”
During Gotive H41 demonstration, Mr. Edwards pointed out the multifunctional
nature, unique design and ruggedness of the device and its suitability
for many industrial applications, like logistics or field services.
