– Fingerprint Recognition Module – a new embedded option
for more secure authentication will be launched for sales by Gotive
in December 2005.
The new embedded feature adds revolutionary biometrics
functionality for more secure authentication to the Gotive H42 Communicators.
Fingerprint recognition can be used as supplementary functionality
on current Gotive target markets of transportation, warehousing,
distribution, and administration, but nonetheless it is opening
new, more specific markets and applications, where maximum security
and person authentication, identification, or authorization is necessary,
as for example in areas of Identity Verification, Process Authorisation,
Granting Access to the Communicator, or Access Control, naming only
a few of them.

Gotive H42 SDK will include easy functions to create application
for allowing access to the communicator via successful match of
his/her fingerprint, a feature requested by the current users of
Gotive systems. Other, more complex applications will be provided
by system integrators for particular projects exactly matching their
needs.
