In cooperation with Vibren Technologies Inc., MA, USA, Gotive has ported Macromedia Flash Plug-in 6 for Internet Explorer to Gotive handheld communicator. This plugin enables to view Flash context on web pages and use Flash controls on web forms directly via the large HVGA touchscreen LCD of the Gotive communicator.

“Vibren provided Flash Player licenses and worked successfully to integrated Flash support onto the Gotive H41”, says Tom DeSisto, Vice President of Business Development at Vibren Technologies. “Gotive has the perfect platform for optimally installing Macromedia Flash 6 Plug-in for Internet Explorer and offers an ideal solution for customers who want to view Flash content on web pages or web forms.”

In general, this plug-in enhances viewing of the content of the web pages on Gotive H41. From the point of view of developing special user applications, web forms using Flash controls allow utilisation of Gotive communicators as terminal devices in server based applications, which is an ideal solution for employment of mobile unit in WLAN equipped networks. "The software developers write the web forms in Macromedia Flash and use all of its features to create an intuitive, interactive and visually attractive user interface. The users can then fully enjoy an easily operable interface of their working tool - the mobile device - in their daily work." says Anna Rosivalova, Gotive Senior PR Officer.

"Implementation of Macromedia Flash on Gotive H41 provides for another effective, time and cost saving way to build thin client applications on this platform." adds Juraj Gavenda, Gotive Marketing Manager.
